MPC &Associates is presenting an Evening of Jazz Meets Latin Jazz

Jazz meets Latin Jazz is an event collaborating with today’s most talented and world renowned musicians.

We are performing all of the world rhythms in one show.   Featuring world music and the finest deliverance, we will be performing original and standards from the American Song Book of Jazz.   We also have an all-star Cuban Latin Jazz group featuring today’s best Latin artists performing all the famous Cuban rhythms such as Mambo, Cha Cha and Son Montuno.  We are also fortunate to have a guitarist straight from Brazil to be part of this legendary event.  

Joining us on this special evening will be Carol Welsman a successful musical artist singer and pianist.  She was born in Toronto Canada and has performed with today’s top jazz artists.  Carol has received a Juno, (Canadian Grammy) Award nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Album. Since then six of her ten albums to date have received Juno nominations.

Representing Latin Jazz is Chuchito Valdes; he is a third generation of Cuban pianists. He comes from one of the most famous families of Cuban music. His Father is Chucho Valdes and Grandfather Bebo Valdes.  Chuchito has shared the stage with several famous artists like Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, just to name a few. He has received  7 Grammy nominations. Also, we are fortunate to have Grammy winner Luis Conte as part of the Latin ensemble. Mr. Conte is known as one of the world’s Master Percussionists. He has toured with the most famous recording artists of our era like Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett and many others.  Another Musician joining us direct from Brazil, Diego Figueiredo is considered one of the most talented guitar players in the world. He has won several important competitions including Montreux of Jazz. He has also released 9 albums.  Joining us on Drums is Calixto Oviedo born in Havana Cuba, he has performed with the top groups from Cuba, Orquesta Aragon and was for many years the Drummer for N.G. La Banda.  We also have Violinist Gerardo Aguillon, Cuban Bass player Rigoberto Lopez and on flute, Rachel Lopez.
